ONLINE 10 HOUR SITE SAFETY TRAINING (SST)

Please note, you MUST complete the OSHA 30 hour training before you can take the 10 hours of SST training. This online OSHA safety training course is required by the New York City Department of Buildings and the training program focuses on site safety. Sites requiring Construction Site Safety Coordinator, Site Manager or Superintendent must first complete 40 hours of specific training to receive their Site Safety Training (SST) card. The course includes the following: 

8 Hour Fall Prevention Course

The leading cause of death in the construction industry is from falls. When working at a height of six feet or more, workers and supervisors are required to have their Site Safety Training Card in NYC. As a result, OSHA has designated the course as a fundamental safety training requirement for all site workers in New York City.

The 8 Hour Site Safety Training Course is an interactive and hands-on course that provides comprehensive training on how to protect yourself from fall hazards on job sites and covers more than 30 topics, including: fall protection awareness; working at height; basic first aid; communication protocols; accountability principles.

Course materials cover recognizing fall hazards, competent person responsibilities, types of fall protection systems, calculation of fall distances, proper anchorage points, and other OSHA standards.

2 Hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness Course

As part of the 10 Hour Site Safety Training (SST) Course, Guardian Group Services provides training on drugs and alcohol dependency and how it can be a danger in the workplace.

Students will learn how being under the influence is not only dangerous to themselves but puts every worker on a job site at risk. An important part in getting an OSHA certification, the course will cover the effects of drugs and alcohol use on construction sites and in personal life.

Book & pay online. The zoom link will be emailed before the class. This OSHA-approved course is taught by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) authorized instructors.

The 10 Hour OSHA Site Safety Training course fee INCLUDES the cost of the SST card - many schools charge extra for this.

Upon successful course completion, students will receive a certification of completion and their official Site Safety Training Card from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). New York City construction and demolition workers can also meet NYC DOB Local Law 196 of 2017 training requirements by receiving online training. Please note this course is only for Construction and does not cover General Industry.
