Red Cross Online Bloodborne Pathogens Training
COURSE DETAILS
The 2021 Red Cross online Bloodborne Pathogens training course is designed for those at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace.
It provides the student with an overview of bloodborne diseases. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread and how to avoid exposure. In addition, they will also learn what to do if exposed to infectious materials.
Bloodborne pathogens are microorganisms present in human blood, body fluids, and other potentially infectious materials that can cause disease in humans.
This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29. After taking the blood borne pathogen training, students should discuss their workplace-specific details, policies, and procedures with their employer.
The training takes approximately 60 minutes to complete. A Bloodborne Pathogen Training certification that is valid for one year will be sent to the student after completion.
This course is important for anyone who wants to learn about keeping themselves safe from bloodborne pathogens. Once completed, students will be able to better protect themselves from blood or other potentially infectious bodily fluids in their workplace.
Digital Certification is available from the American Red Cross and can be accessed online at any time once obtained. This certificate provides a record of the student's training history and course completion. No need to carry a printed version with you everywhere you go!
